The committee on implementing recommendations on Rakhine State held its 7th coordination meeting at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
In his opening address, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye, also chairman of the committee, said the performances of the committee in four months are to be reported to the people.
He also urged the committee to take the hopes of the people in Rakhine State into consideration when it is implementing the recommendations.
When implementing the recommendations for development of Rakhine State, the committee is obliged to seek harmony and security to the two communities which are living in fear and mistrust each other. In the discussion at the meeting, U Nyi Pu, the Chief Minister of Rakhine State, said he hoped that all departments concerned would do their best to submit the fourmonth report of the committee, stressed the importance of close coordination between the Union Government and Rakhine State Government in making the works of the committee a success.—Myanmar News Agency
